Last April 25, the 2008 Earthday Jam celebration once again drew record crowds to Tomas Morato for a one-night music marathon.
Over 25 artists performed including Barbie Almalbis, Callalily, Imago, Sandwich, The CompanY, The Philippine Latin Jazz Orchestra, Sitti, True Faith, South Border, Sino Sikat, UpDharma Down, Radio Active Sago Project, Pinikpikan, Zelle, Kjwan and Moonstar ‘88, plus performances from Noel Cabangon and Lou Bonnevie.
Resource speakers were Environment Assistant Secretary Mark Yambao; project director of the Metro Manila’s Air Program Sonny Hornilla; program manager of KLIMA lawyer Guia Ibay; project manager for the Philippine Sanitation Alliance Liza Lumbao with the special appearance of Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista. Izza Litton and Jm Rodriguez hosted the event.
The show opened with a jazz, swing and R&B rendition of The CompanY with the Philippine Latin Jazz Orchestra. The crowd just kept on pouring and Tomas Morato strip was literally transformed into a street fiesta.
